New farmhouse dwelling designed for a rural property in Argents Hill, near Bowraville NSW. Designed to sit on a north-south ridge taking advantage of views over the Nambucca River to the east and mountain views to the west. Optimises passive solar design in an area subject to large temperature variations, flooding and heavy rainfall throughout the year.
Design is a simple contemporary take on traditional farmhouses found in the area, prioritising practicality and low maintenance as well as comfort and climatic responsiveness.
Timber cladding, hardwood timber verandahs, polished concrete internal floors.
Minimal heating and cooling required, rainwater harvesting for self-sufficient water supply, onsite wastewater dispersal, water wise landscaping.
